In response to the "Belt and Road" initiative, to cultivate overseas hydropower skilled talent, and to support Chinese enterprises in their global expansion, GCWE and China Huadian Power Plant Operation(Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huadian Cambodia Company) jointly hosted the online opening ceremony for the 2024 "Chinese Language + Hydropower Vocational Skills" training program on July 11. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Zhou Tao, Vice President of GCWE; Mr. Zhu Xinyuan, Chairman and General Manager of Huadian Cambodia Company; and Mr. Ding Guoxing, Executive Director of Huadian Cambodia Company. The event was presided over by Ms. Li Changni, Director of Foreign Exchange Center of GCWE.
On behalf of GCWE, Zhou Tao first extended a warm welcome to the attending leaders and trainees, and expressed sincere gratitude to Huadian Cambodia Company for its long-term support of the school's development. He emphasized that the school serves Chinese enterprises in their global expansion through high-quality internationalized talent cultivation and high-level technical skill collaboration. By aligning education with industry needs and fostering industry-education integration, the school aims to create new productive forces, share development outcomes, and continuously support ASEAN's sustainable development through hydropower standards, design, and technology, while providing talent and technical support for enterprises.
Zhu Xinyuan stated that the "Chinese Language + Hydropower Vocational Skills" training program is a significant initiative to deepen school-enterprise cooperation and jointly cultivate high-quality skilled personnel. He emphasized that this training would not only improve the Chinese language proficiency and vocational skills of Cambodian employees, enhancing their overall competence and competitiveness, but also further promote cultural exchanges between China and Cambodia, contributing to the global expansion of Chinese enterprises and the cultivation of local Cambodian talent.
This "Chinese Language + Hydropower Vocational Skills" training program represents a valuable exploration in the school's efforts to advance the construction of the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship for Green Energy and serve the national "Belt and Road" initiative. It also marks an important step towards creating a distinctive international brand for hydropower vocational education and further enhancing the school's level of internationalization.
