On June 7th, our school and Indonesia Universitas PGRI Semarang held the opening ceremony of Guangxi Water Resource Engineering Workshop. Principal Li Lin, Vice Principal Su Chao, Director Zhu Xiaoli of the Friendship Association of Foreign Affairs Office of Guangxi Autonomous Region, as well as President Sri Suciati of Indonesia Universitas PGRI Semarang attended the unveiling ceremony. Leaders of relevant departments of the two sides, deans of secondary colleges and representatives of teachers attended the meeting.
In the speech, President Li Lin said that the school actively responds to the "Belt and Road" initiative and accelerated international exchanges and cooperation in education. Cooperation projects such as "Chinese + Vocational skills" training and hydropower industry professional standard exports have been carried out with colleges and enterprises in Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos and other ASEAN countries, enhancing the university's international influence and voice in the international hydropower industry. It is hoped that the two sides can carry out practical cooperation based on Guangxi Water Resource Engineering Workshop, to promote the exchanges and development of vocational education between China and Indonesia, and also promote the construction of the community of a shared future between the two countries.
President Sri Suciati pointed out that the joint construction of Guangxi Water Resource Engineering Workshop is the beginning of the cooperation between the two sides, and the two sides will carry out exchanges and cooperation in the fields of technical training, academic exchanges and cultural dialogue, and jointly cultivate international technical skills talents. Subsequently, in the presence of leaders and guests from both sides, President Li Lin and President Sri Suciati signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and jointly unveiled Guangxi Water Resource Engineering Workshop.
Guangxi Water Resource Engineering Workshop shows the full characteristics of the school, together with ASEAN colleges and universities, enterprises and industries, to jointly create a "hydropower" field of overseas cooperative school projects and "hydropower" characteristics of the CHINA-ASEAN modern craftsman college. It aims to build itself into an "enclave of ASEAN hydropower technology skills talents" and contribute to the power of "Guangxi Vocational College of Water Resources and Electric Power" for the development of hydropower industry in ASEAN countries. At present, the school has set up 4 Guangxi Water Resource Engineering Workshop in the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia and Indonesia. Next, the school will carry out academic education, technical skills training, cultural exchanges and other cooperation projects to help the development of the local hydropower industry, build the characteristic brand of Guangxi Water Resource Engineering Workshop, and expand the influence of Guangxi Water Resource Engineering Workshop in ASEAN countries.
It is reported that Indonesia Universitas PGRI Semarang is committed to quality education services for students and transporting excellent talents for the country, and has obtained the authoritative certification of BAN-PT. The school actively carries out international exchange activities, and has more than 40 international partners around the world, mainly from the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and other countries, and holds multiple cooperation projects with overseas universities, such as online workshops, student exchange programs and double teacher training.
